Magic Puzzle Company edition! All of these puzzles feature original art, a scavenger hunt list of Easter eggs to find, and numerous pieces of special shapes that are unique to each puzzle. Whenever you finish every puzzle, they do a magic trick. So no spoilers ahead!

Big Rock City (1,000 pieces)

Our first experience with a Magic Puzzle Company puzzle, Big Rock City probably still has the best surprise at the end. The city is a bustling metropolis for dinosaurs, and there are quirky, different sections that are a bit tricky to piece together due to how diverse they are. While there are a lot of buildings and trees that can be easy to mix up, the train and the river walk are distinguishable centerpieces that you can kind of build out from there. Big Rock City has the most charming, day-in-the-life feel right up until it doesn’t. The art posters for this one will most likely be the least helpful, but in a fun way!

The Awakened Artifacts (1,000 pieces)

The Awakened Artifacts has to be my favorite of the three puzzles we’ve tried so far. While it has the simplest ending, I think it’s very cute! I love how the easy and obvious sections of this museum can be grouped by color and theme without being boring. You have to figure out what the heck happened to all of these exhibits. Not only can you keep your eyes peeled for the Easter eggs scattered throughout, but you’re also trying to actually solve the mystery of the puzzle. I think The Awakened Artifacts has my favorite art style thus far, and the separate sections all come together in so many different ways once you finish it.

The Crystal Caves (1,000 pieces)

The Crystal Caves is certainly the funniest of the puzzles! There are different ground levels of soil that you can tell apart as you go due to their colors, and there are different factions of creatures that you can organize into their own groups as well. It’s fun to connect the parts of this puzzle with the mine cart rail system and water pipes throughout! It starts with the same feel as Big Rock City, except you start to notice a bit of a rivalry between groups of creatures and to discern why they might all be separated. It also shares the mystery element with The Awakened Artifacts, in that aspect. It was sort of nice to do this puzzle last of the three!
