Submitting Stuff

I guess I’d consider this post an announcement. Just a couple of things I want to share!

Firstly, I’m participating in NaNoWriMo in a little over a month. National Novel Writing Month takes place every November and presents the challenge of writing 50,000 words of a novel in 30 days. The last time I took part, I wanna say it was 2015 or so, and I only wrote fewer than 10,000 words. So, God willing, I’m going to give it another try this year! Wish me luck!!

If any of you are fellow Wrimos, or you’re just interested in my progress, you can follow me on my profile here. Once November is over, I’m going to share whatever I manage to write in a post on this site, so keep your eyes open for that!

Secondly, in about six months, I’ll start submitting pieces of my writing to an online magazine, Orion’s Belt. They accept short stories as well as poems. To keep you all in suspense, I won’t say which ones I want to send, but they can all be found on my Writings page. Here’s a hint: Orion’s Belt mostly publishes science fiction and fantasy. Yet something I’ve noticed — and I’m sure you have too, by now — is that just about everything I’ve written recently falls into those genres. So have fun guessing what I’m going to submit! And again, wish me luck!!

If somehow any of my pieces are chosen for publication, I will proudly share another announcement post such as this one when the time comes.

Thank you to all of you, strangers or not, for continuing to follow my little blog. šŸ™‚ I feel like I’m finally confident enough to begin submitting my writing in earnest because of you!
