Day Eight: Songs You Know By Heart by Jimmy Buffett

I mean, I can’t even with this album. “Cheeseburger in Paradise.” “Volcano.” And “Margaritaville.” Anyone who has an inkling of who Jimmy Buffett is will know those three songs and every other song on this album… by heart. Ha!

My personal favorites are the slow songs, “He Went to Paris” and “Son of a Son of a Sailor.” If you’ve seen the original cover art for Songs You Know By Heart, then you’ll know that it’s a photo of Jimmy, smiling and sitting in a hammock on a beach with his guitar and a couple macaws. And every track on this album takes you to that place. It’s relaxing, it’s enjoyable, and it’s amazing.

I’m not sure there’s much to say other than that, really. I think I’m going to go there right now.
