Days Three and Four

Post one per day, in no particular order, your 10 all-time favorite albums that really made an impact and are still in your rotation to this day. Post the cover, no need to explain your choice.

Where does the time go?! I figure combining these two would be easier than trying to catch up.

Day Three: Splinter by The Offspring

What can I say? Splinter led to me searching for more songs by The Offspring. That’s a big deal. The Offspring opened me up to more alternative rock. However, Splinter also takes me back to a specific summer in Albuquerque, when my brother and I went to a camp at the local country club. He made a friend there who introduced both of us to this album, and it sort of became the theme for that camp. So I have the new discoveries and the nostalgia to give Splinter credit for.

Day Four: Greatest Hits by Fleetwood Mac

I’ll remember this green cover for the rest of my life. It has my favorite shade of green on it. Yet another compilation album, Greatest Hits included many songs from, arguably, Fleetwood Mac’s most esteemed album, Rumours. You’ve got “Go Your Own Way,” “You Make Loving Fun,” “Dreams,” etc. Like 1, this album got me into more Fleetwood Mac as well as other, similar bands. And I liked “The Chain” before it popped up in Guardians of the Galaxy, Volume 2, but God damn, I loved it when it did!
